The Greek building and construction sector is one of the country’s top exporters: active in more than 30 countries around the world from North America to the Middle East, from Africa to Asia. The sector spans a broad range of industries and jobs and encompasses diverse and products, including metal products, wood products, ceramics, stone products, plastics, as well as doors & windows, roofs, floor coverings, electrical systems and components, paints, and other related products.

The building materials sector makes a significant contribution in the Greek economy, with the construction sector in general regarded as one of the growth drivers of the domestic economy.

In the past few years, Greek marble exports have doubled to about €300 million a year, while Greek manufacturers are also on the leading edge of new building technologies, with the latest in solar or lighting installations, water and environmental technologies, next generation aluminum products, and many other construction materials and products.
